Wollert Community Pathshala is a community-based Bangla language school established to nurture Bengali language, culture, and values among children growing up in Australia.
Wollert Community Pathshala Incorporated was established and formally incorporated on 15 August 2023. We became an accredited community language school in January 2025. We are proud to be the first Bangla language school in Northern Melbourne, serving the growing multicultural Bengali community in Wollert and surrounding suburbs.
Our aim is to facilitate quality Bengali language education for children, while nurturing a strong connection to Bangladeshi language, culture, and heritage. Through structured learning and a supportive environment, we strive to help children develop confidence in reading, writing, and speaking Bangla, alongside an appreciation of cultural values and traditions.
Wollert Community Pathshala is a Child Safe Organisation. The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority. All our staff and volunteers hold a valid Working With Children Check, and we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for every child.
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we operate and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Our Pathshala is run by dedicated volunteers, educators, and families who share a common vision: to pass on language, culture, and a sense of belonging to the next generation while supporting children to thrive in the broader Australian community.
